Welcome to 6th Grade!! |
|
I am very excited to be teaching 6th grade at Pine City Elementary School! I can't wait to get to know your student.
I grew up and also live in Rush City. After graduating high school, I went to the University or Wisconsin-Superior where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Reading and Language Arts. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree, I did some substitute teaching in Rush City and Pine City. In the fall of 2010, I began teaching reading at Pine City Elementary, then moved to 6th grade for the 2013-2014 school year. I got my Master's Degree from St. Cloud State University in May of 2016.
I live just outside of Rush City with my husband, Eric and our daughters, Taya and Addison. We love to spend time together horseback riding, camping, and getting together with family and friends.
From the first day I meet students, I want them to know that they are cared about and safe in my classroom. I warn them that I have a tendency to get loud and excited, make them do things the right way, and HUG them when they need it. I strongly believe that students learn better when they are in an environment they are comfortable in.
